Generac Mobile Products, formerly known as Tower Light, began in 1997 with the manufacturing of mobile lighting towers in Pavia, Italy. The first lighting tower with a vertical telescopic mast was launched by Generac (under its former Tower Light name) in 2003. It was designed specifically for rental companies to save costs on transportation as well as added safety during mast deployment.
